Abigail
Mendoza has been diagnosed with a rare form of pediatric
cancer called neuroblastoma.
What
began was a mass has spread to her bones and bone
marrow. She is currently undergoing an aggressive course
of treatment to beat this thing!
It began
Sunday, February 25, 2007, when she began to complain of
pain in her legs and she was not able to put pressure on
her left leg. She stayed on the couch all day and with
Motrin was feeling better. On Monday, it was more of the
same complaints, so mom and dad decided she should go to
the doctor the next morning.
Everything moved pretty quickly from there, the doctor
felt that she should go to the Emergency Room for
further tests. After five tests, it was decided that she
needed to be admitted to the hospital.
