Brent Beckwith
Co-founder
Brent Beckwith, a current
resident of Crystal Lake, Illinois, has been a
passionate fisherman for over 30 years and loves to get
out fishing every chance he gets. Brent's true fish of
choice is the Catfish. However, you will never see him
turning down the opportunity to fish, no matter what
species of fish it is.
Brent found his niche for
helping others through fishing by starting
W.O.W - Walk On Water Charity Ice
Fishing Benefit. This yearly ice fishing
benefit was created in 2004 and has been a continuing
success that is growing in popularity.
With great success and a
lot of hard work, Brent has been able to acquire
numerous donations for raffle prizes which have raised
him and Angler911.com over $10,000.00 in the last three
years. Brent also organizes a bowling charity event
during the spring to help raise money.
Proven success has Brent
teaming up with angler, Gary Dew to help raise funds
through Angler911.com by raffling donated guide fishing
trips.

Gary Dew
Co-founder
Gary Dew (on right),
a four year tournament angler on the Professional Musky
Tournament Trail, recently stepped down after seven
years from his position as president of the
Shawnee Muskie Hunters
Chapter of
Muskies Inc.
During his tenure as club
president, Gary began his philanthropy career.
In 2002, Gary purchased a
2003 Ranger 175 Bass Boat and raffled it odd in order to
raise money for the Charlie Williams family of Aurora,
Illinois. Combined with putting on a benefit event as
well, the total funds raised $18,800. Charlie was
stricken with liver and colon cancer. Six months later,
Gary again purchased a 2003 Ranger Bass Boat and raffled
it off to help raise money for the Brian Barron family
of Rockford, Illinois. The amount raised was $13,300.
In 2006 with the assistance
of the Shawnee Musky Hunters club, Gary put on the first
annual Lacey Graeff Caraway benefit Musky Tournament.
With a tremendous amount of Muskie fishing tackle
donations, the group was able to raise $8,500. lacey of
Murphysboro, Illinois, was stricken with
Peritoneal Mesothelioma.
In 2004, Gary was the
recipient of the Chicagoland Sportswriters Humanitarian
Award.
In September, 2006, he was
involved with a group from Coldwell Banker in St.
Charles, Illinois, to participate in putting on a
benefit for Charlie Williams, whose liver cancer had
returned. Gary used his own money to purchase raffle
items that netted them nearly 60-percent of the $5,500
raised.
Gary has stated that all of
the above could not have been achieved without the
unprecedented support of the nearly 8,000 members of
Muskies Inc. Gary has
currently teamed up with
Brent Beckwith to help
raise funds through Angler911 by raffling donated guide
fishing trips. |
