Whether you are an experienced fisherman or just a rookie, JD will share his knowledge and experience to put fish in the boat. Northern Illinois has many bodies of water with numerous areas that will produce quality catches throughout the open water season.

JD also guides on the Turtle-Flambeau Flowage in Northern Wisconsin, spending all four seasons throughout the year fishing, camping, and snowmobiling the flowage and Iron County area. JD gave up snowmobiling in 1987 and began dedicating all his time to fishing and camping this beautiful body of water which is nearly 19,000 acres. It literally has hundreds of islands and bays that hold excellent numbers of Musky, Northern Pike, Walleye, Smallmouth Bass, and a plethora of other species.

On this large body of water and surrounding area, wildlife is abundant along the shorelines with deer, bear, wolves, and even moose. In the sky and on the water you will see all types of waterfowl including loons, osprey, and bald eagles.

Weather, water temperatures, fluctuating water levels and pleasure boat traffic can be negatives when out on the water. However, JD has the knowledge to beat the odds and fill the cooler with fish fillets, or a camera full of pictures if you are a catch & release angler. If you choose to keep your catch, size and bag limits will be strictly adhered to - you will not be persuaded in any way to keep or not to keep your legally caught fish.

No one can guarantee a good catch for every day, but JD will do his best to locate and put fish in the boat. One never knows what will be at the other end of the line on any given day, but we will give it all we've got!
